The Academic Unit is a human-sized unit that is committed to establishing and maintaining a special bond with its students. The teaching, scientific and administrative teams listen to the students and do everything possible to support them towards success and in their professional projects.
Mastering literature and languages and encouraging written and oral expression are the keys to success.
The UA responds every day to economic, social, professional and cultural needs to train students who will fully integrate into the professions of today and tomorrow.
From the first year of the bachelor's degree to the doctorate, our students learn to express themselves, to develop interpersonal skills and know-how of analysis and synthesis, to perfectly master French and foreign languages, to know the most innovative digital tools that will allow them to envision their future professional life and to fully insert themselves into the world of tomorrow.
Within the academic unit, non-French speaking students with a low B1 level in French have the opportunity to prepare a University Diploma in FLE (French as a Foreign Language) in one year, which will then allow them to pursue the degree of their choice within the UPHF. This intensive language training is dedicated to learning French in a French-speaking environment.
.The LLCER and LEA courses allow students to develop a perfect command of the language both orally and in writing and many skills that are valuable in various professional fields.
At the crossroads of visual arts and digital creation
The Tertiales campus (Ronzier building) is where training in visual arts, digital arts and digital creations is provided. These courses, which are particularly popular with students, offer a wide variety of disciplinary fields. The Arts degree is essentially based on two pillars of the discipline: practice and Art History. It aims to provide students with a substantial cultural background and encourages the learning of creative techniques, particularly in the studio. Students can choose, from the first year, between the Plastic Arts and Digital Arts courses.
.Within the field, the Digital Creation master's degree proves to be a training that favors the professional insertion of graduates in the sectors of graphic design, UX design or even audiovisual production. Part of the master's courses take place at the Arenberg site, Creative Mine.
