Sports, Health and Transversalities
Created in 2024, to meet current and emerging training needs, the Institut des Transversalités, des Sports et de la Santé provides 20 training courses and hosts the management of the 200 opening and polytechnic modules that make UPHF, a unique model.
IT2S is organized around 3 departments.
Sports - STAPS
In the field of training in Sciences and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities (STAPS), the Institute offers 4 Bachelor's degree courses and 3 Master's courses. It trains sports professionals in a variety of sectors: teaching, sports management, sports coaching, physical activities and health.
- A Master's degree majoring in Sports, Educational Policies and Society will open at the start of the 2026 academic year. This Master's degree prepares students for careers linked to the territorialized evaluation of public needs, educational and social policies and programs through sport and physical sports and artistic activities (APSA), for example.
Health
In this disciplinary field, IT2S prepares students for Bachelor's degree courses in Life Sciencesincluding a LAS, Master's degrees in Biology and Health, as well as a University Diploma Pain and Human Motricity and a Professional License in Optometry.
.These courses meet the region's professional needs in terms of healthcare and also the expectations of medical and paramedical professionals wishing to train or specialize.
Cross-disciplinary
IT2S manages the opening modules (MO) and polytechnic modules (MP) offered to all university students. This is a unique pedagogical device set up to enrich students' academic careers.
The aim is to enablethe acquisition of enhanced skills, which will be valued on the job market.
This department also offers Licences Pluridisciplinaires Projet Personnel and, in particular, a Sportif de Haut Niveau pathway that is totally distance learning. Entrepreneurship is also at the heart of the department, which has a Hubhouse and an entrepreneur diploma.
