Cl₂/Ar based atomic layer etching of AlGaN layers

Sébastien Aroulanda, Olivier Patard, Philippe Altuntas, Nicolas Michel, Jorge Pereira, Cédric Lacam, Piero Gamarra, Sylvain L. Delage, N. Defrance, Jean-Claude de Jaeger, Christophe Gaquière

This paper reports on atomic layer etching of several III-N materials such as GaN, AlN, AlGaN, and InAlGaN based on a sequential surface modification by chlorine adsorption followed by a low energy Ar plasma exposure to remove the modified layer using a reactive ion etching system. A study on the...

Graphite/nanocrystalline zeolite platform for selective electrochemical determination of hepatitis C inhibitor ledipasvir

Shimaa Atty, Mona Mohamed, Lobna Abd el halim, Fatma Fouad, Rabah Boukherroub

A simple and efficient procedure is described for the electrochemical determination of ledipasvir (LDP) in presence of co-formulated drug sofosbuvir (SOF). Herein, a highly sensitive, low-cost electrochemical protocol was utilized to fabricate a zeolite modified carbon paste electrode (ZY/CPE)...

New millimeter wave generation scheme for MIMO-OFDM based Radio-over-Fiber system

M. El Yahyaoui, A. El Moussati, Ghaïs El Zein, Kamel Haddadi

This paper proposes a new scheme for the generation and transmission of a MIMO-OFDM signal over optical fiber using a single local oscillator (LO) at 15 GHz. This technique is based on subcarrier multiplexing and Optical Carrier Suppression (OCS) modulation using both Dual-Parallel Mach–Zehnder...

Magneto-Optical Study of the Anisotropic Piezoelectric Effect in a Ferroelectric Crystal

A. Klimov, Nicolas Tiercelin, Vladimir Preobrazhensky, A. Sigov, Philippe Pernod

The possibility of using the magneto-optical Kerr effect in thin magnetostrictive films to study the piezoelectric characteristics of ferroelectrics is demonstrated experimentally and theoretically. A 011 PMN-PT ferroelectric crystal with an N*(TbCo 2 /FeCo) magnetostrictive nanostructure deposited...

On the correlation between intermodulation distortion and RF transconductance for microwave GaN HEMT

Mayahsa M. Ali, Mohammad A Alim, Ali A. Rezazadeh, Christophe Gaquière

This paper investigates the correlation between intermodulation distortion and RF transconductance in AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) grown on SiC Substrate. Two-tone intermodulation distortion measurements were carried out across a comprehensive biasing range changing the...

MEMS calorimetric transducers for flow separation detection and control

Cécile Ghouila-Houri, Abdelkrim Talbi, Romain Viard, Quentin Gallas, Eric Garnier, Alain Merlen, Philippe Pernod

Robust micro machined high temperature gradient calorimetric (HTGC) transducers were developed for flow separation control. Based on thermal principle, the transducers measure the mean and fluctuating bidirectional shear stress that is particularly useful for flow separation detection. More than a...
