WAVESURF characterization platform
- The WAVESURF platform is dedicated to the characterization of surfaces and coatings but also sensors and microsystems (MEMS).
- The characterizations of Transducers & Sensors are partly realized thanks to the WAVESURF platform.
- It is based on several interferometric devices that allow the detection of "micro", "nano" and "pico" displacements over a very wide frequency range up to 1.2 GHz. Several network analyzers and sub-peak measurement devices complement these.
Control and characterization (thickness, Young's modulus, porosity, residual stresses, etc.) of surfaces and coatings can be performed in particular by ultrasound via high-frequency (10-250 MHz) surface acoustic waves (SURFace Acoustic WAVE).
