On the influence of water on THz vibrational spectral features of molecular crystals

Sergey Mitryukovskiy, Danny Vanpoucke, Theo Hannotte, Melanie Lavancier, D. Hourlier-Bahloul, Goedele Roos, Romain Peretti

The collective vibrations in molecular crystals can be probed using terahertz spectroscopy, providing unique characteristic spectral fingerprints. However, the association of the spectral features to the crystal conformation, crystal phase and its environment is a difficult task. We present a...

THz gain measurements in optically pumped ammonia

Alexandra Khabbaz, Guillaume Ducournau, Gaël Mouret, Jean-Francois Lampin

We present experimental results about terahertz gain measurements in ammonia gas optically pumped by a quantum cascade laser. The gain was measured with the help of a vector network analyzer (VNA) and reached 17 dB/m at 1.07 THz.

Noise analysis, noise reduction and covariance estimation for Time domain Spectroscopy

Elsa Denakpo, Theo Hannotte, Melanie Lavancier, Sophie Eliet, Romain Peretti

Time domain spectroscopy is now 30 year old and spread more and more along many fields of analytical sciences. The specificity of this technique reads in its name: measurements are not done in the frequency domain using a dispersive element, but in the time domain. One of the consequences is that...
