School of Engineering of Seville (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros - ETSI)
The School of Engineering of Seville was established in December 1963. At that time it was possible to study the Industrial Engineering Degree in the specialities of Electrical, Mechanics, Organisation and Chemistry as well as PhD in Industrial Engineering. Around 1993, some other studies were added, such as Telecommunications Engineering, Chemical Engineering,... In the last years, the School has also added a set of 5 undergraduate degrees (Industrial Technology Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, ...) with their corresponding masters.
Nowadays the School has around 6000 students, 400 professors and an annual number of graduates over 400 engineers. The contact with the industrial sector, first through the Laboratory of Industrial Research and Tests and then through the Andalusian Association for Industrial Research and Cooperation (AICIA) has been a constant and productive target that duly helps to train the students and the industrial development of the region.

Barceló Convention Center
Conference location
IESM 2015 has two venues, the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería- ETSI (School of Engineering) and the Barceló Convention Center. The distance between the two buildings is around 600 meters that can be easily covered by walking.
The Welcome Party, the Opening and Concluding Sessions, the Plenary Sessions, and Friday Cocktail Lunch will take place in the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería.
In the Barceló Convention Center, the parallel sessions, coffee breaks and Wednesday and Thursday lunch will be held.
By Taxi
This is the most comfortable way of moving around the city. There are many taxis all around the city so it won´t be difficult to find one wherever you are. A trip from the city center to the “Barceló hotel” or the “Engineering School” costs around 10 euros, so it could be a good option if you want to visit the city by your own.

By Bus
The cheapest way of moving is the bus. Sevilla has a very good bus network that can take you to almost every place you want to go. The one-way ticket costs around 1.5€.
If you are interested in going to the city center by bus from the “School of Engineering” or the “Barceló hotel” you have to catch bus C1 in any of the bus stops you can find next to both places (you find one every 15 minutes or less) and get off in “Barqueta” stop (just after the bridge). Then you have to walk around 15-20 minutes to get into “Plaza del Duque”. It is also possible to reach the Central Railway Station with this bus.
For coming back, bus C2 has exactly the opposite itinerary.

By Bike
Sevilla is one the best prepared cities in the world for bikes (http://copenhagenize.eu/index/04.html, http://edition.cnn.com/2014/08/17/travel/best-cycling-cities/ ). You can find public bike stations all around the city. It is possible to obtain a “weekly ticket” for these bikes from around 13€ (you will need a credit card). With it, you can use any bike you find in any station for 30 minutes (if you want to use it for a longer time you just need to change your bike in any station you find on your way). By Railway
Although this is the least recommended way of moving, it is also possible to get into the “School of Engineering” or the “Barceló Hotel” by train. The problem with it is that there are not many stops around the city (just Central Train Station) and that it is required to walk for around 20 minutes, from the train stop (and as it is the business/university part of the city, there is nothing around from certain hour).
