Mathematical Models for the Microstructure of Ceramics" conference

On May 18 and 19, 2026, CERAMATHS is organizing the Mathematical Models for the Microstructure of Ceramics

conference at UPHF.

On May 18 and 19, 2026, CERAMATHS is organizing the Mathematical Models for the Microstructure of Ceramics conference at the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France. This Focused Innovation Session, organized as part of the action COST mSPACE by Lucas Reding and Matthias Täufer, will bring together mathematicians, materials specialists and ceramics researchers. It will be devoted to mathematical models of ceramic microstructures, whether dense or porous. Discussions will focus in particular on homogenization, sintering, stochastic models based on Gaussian fields and random Voronoi mosaics, as well as multi-scale approaches and numerical property prediction
