The CÉRAMATHS Department of Mathematics seminar will welcome Claire Brécheteau (CÉRAMATHS) at 2.00 pm on Thursday 15 October 2026 for the following talk:

Robust geometric methods for data partitioning and support estimation

We introduce robust versions of the k-means criterion in Euclidean space, and study them from a statistical perspective.
Anisotropic versions allow us to adapt to the underlying dimension of the data.
We shall also present a toy application to the classification of countries based on age pyramids.
