The CERAMATHS Mathematics Department seminar will host William Kengne (CY Cergy Paris Université) on Thursday, March 9, 2023, for the following talk:

Deep learning under weak dependence

We consider deep neural networks for learning weakly dependent processes. The framework considered is quite general and includes: regression, classification, time series prediction,...
The consistency of the empirical risk minimization algorithm in this class of deep neural networks is proven.
We establish a generalization bound, which admits a convergence speed close to that obtained on independent observations.
An excess risk bound is also established. An application to the classification problem is considered.

Work in collaboration with Modou Wade.
