Interreg Tech4Fab-Cross S3 project

Presentation and objectives

The Interreg Tech4Fab-Corss S3 project aims to mature innovative, more resilient and agile processes for the abrasives, forging, foundry, transport and energy sectors.

To respond concretely to industrial needs, our R&D activities are organized around 7 research demonstrators (RDs), divided into 4 strategic themes:

Theme 1: Improving the manufacturing speed/production cost pair

.

DR1: Manufacturing carbide cutting tools via a hybrid and parallelized process.

DR2: Freeform additive manufacturing of ceramic supports for thermal management, chemical reactors and filters.

THEME 2: Improving the surface finish of complex parts

DR3: Improving "low run" molds for demanding injection applications.

DR4: Tool design with "conformal" cooling and surface functionalization by DED.

Theme 3: Increasing product efficiency by integrating new functionalities

DR5: 3D printing of multifunctional parts for electric and electromagnetic fields (sensors/actuators).

Theme 4: Improving circularity and optimizing raw materials (feedstocks)

DR6: Reuse of recycled materials in additive manufacturing processes.

DR7: Advanced surface treatments for additive manufacturing feedstocks.

Partners

For this, 9 operators are part of the project: CRIBC (Mons, BE), Platinium 3D (Charleville-Mézières, FR), Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (Valenciennes, FR), CRITT Matériaux Innovation (Charleville-Mézières, FR), Materia Nova (Mons, BE), Sirris (Brussels, BE), Centrale Lille (Lille, FR), CNRS (Lille, FR), Centexbel (Courtrai, BE) 5 associated operators support the project: CCI Grand Lille Hauts-de-France (Lille, FR), Pôle Mecatech (Suarlée, BE), Team2 (Lens, FR), AGK (Charleroi, BE) and SATT Nord (Lille, FR).

Budget and duration

This project started on July 01, 2024 and will last 4 years. The budget is €3,551,668.67, 60% of which comes from the ERDF.
