Holistic Modeling of Embedded Systems with Multi-Discipline Feedback: Application to a Precollision Mitigation Braking System

Antoine Lévêque, François Pêcheux, Marie-Minerve Louërat, Hassan Aboushady, Fabio Cenni, Serge Scotti, Abdelbasset Massouri, Laurent Clavier

The paper presents the principles, techniques and tools for the efficient modeling and simulation, at the component level, of an heterogeneous system composed of Wireless Sensor Network nodes that exhibits complex multi-discipline feedback loops that are likely to be found in many state-of-the-art…

CBRAM devices as binary synapses for low-power stochastic neuromorphic systems: auditory (cochlea) and visual (retina) cognitive processing applications

M. Suri, O. Bichler, D. Querlioz, G. Palma, E. Vianello, D. Vuillaume, C. Gamrat, B. de Salvo

In this work, we demonstrate an original methodology to use Conductive-Bridge RAM (CBRAM) devices as binary synapses in low-power stochastic neuromorphic systems. A new circuit architecture, programming strategy and probabilistic STDP learning rule are proposed. We show, for the first time, how the…

THz power divider circuits on planar Goubau lines (PGLs)

A. Treizebre, Simon Laurette, Yansheng Xu, Renato G. Bosisio, Bertrand Bocquet

Terahertz spectroscopy is a new tool for real time biological analysis. Unfortunately, investigations on aqueous solutions remain difficult and need to work on nanovolumes. Integrated Terahertz instrumentation remains a challenge. We demonstrate that Planar Goubau Line (PGL) technology could bring…

Corrugated Goubau lines to slow down and confine THz waves

Simon Laurette, A. Treizebre, Bertrand Bocquet

Corrugations on planar Goubau lines are presented in order to slow down and focus electromagnetic waves. A propagation effective index shift is observed between corrugated and non-corrugated planar Goubau lines. Influence of the corrugation geometrical parameters is studied. Two original methods…

Low cost 60 GHz new thin pyralux membrane antennas FED by substrate integrated waveguide

Tristan Sarrazin, Hamsakutty Vettikalladi, Olivier Lafond, Mohamed Himdi, Nathalie Rolland

A low cost technology based on FR4 and thin flexible Pyralux substrate to develop membrane antennas/array with high efficiency and wide bandwidth for high speed V-band communication systems is proposed in this paper. A new low cost thin Pyralux substrate with a thickness of 75 μm, relative…
