Interreg SAFE

SAFE Interreg Project

A cross-border project to make medical implants safer and more reliable.

The SAFE project aims to develop plasma processes to treat the surfaces of medical implants and thereby reduce the risk of infection and inflammation. This project, funded by the Interreg France-Wallonia-Flanders program, aligns with the goal of making the cross-border region a hub for the development of cutting-edge technologies. This objective is also being pursued in the health and social sectors, as embodied by the SAFE project.

The objectives of the SAFE project:

  • To innovate and develop cutting-edge technology using plasma processes
  • To improve the quality of life for people who need medical implants and enhance the protection of their health
  • Make these innovative solutions available in the cross-border region
  • Promote cross-border cooperation to share expertise and best practices

Through the cooperation of several partners across France, Flanders, and Wallonia, the SAFE project is helping to propel the cross-border region covered by Interreg France-Wallonia-Flanders to the forefront. While the goal is to innovate, the project does not lose sight of the practical application of its results, aiming to improve the quality of life for people who use medical implants. In short, it is an innovative project that serves the public!
