[Exhibition] Geometric Concretizations

From October 17 to November 30, 2022, the Gallery (Matisse Building) will host the exhibition Geometric Concretizations: frames, algorithms, randomness..., the result of the work of artist Jean-Paul Carbonel.

Opening on October 18 at 12 noon.

Frames, algorithms, randomness...

Jean Paul Carbonel's work is located at the meeting of geometric abstraction, constructed art and digital art.
His approach is linked to mathematics, more particularly to geometry, series, progressions, randomness.

The exhibition consists of paintings, sculptures and drawings; all techniques and forms of expression that the artist is fond of.

Some of the paintings juxtapose multiple surface elements, interlocked in structures, or arranged randomly, allowing for rhythmic color variations depending on the construction of the object.
The drawings are executed with colored pencils and consist of the superposition or the crossing of different frames.
The experimentation consists of varying the different parameters of the frame.

The vernissage will take place on October 18, 2022 in the presence of the artist.
