The Gendarmerie Reserve

Former students who were themselves reservists during their studies, will come and share with you their experience of the reserve and what it brought them.

To be a reservist in the Gendarmerie Nationale is to have the opportunity to be a gendarme in addition to your studies and thus to live a particularly rich human experience, in the service of others and your country.

This is for you, as an extension of your training, a real professional experience, which you can value after your studies, whether you wish to join the Gendarmerie Nationale or not. Having been or being a reservist in the Gendarmerie Nationale is always appreciated by recruiters, who see it as the sign of a serious, committed and trustworthy person. What's more, as a reservist, you're obviously paid, you're free to choose your missions and you can take the Gendarmerie Nationale's internal competitive exams.
