History Masters students at the Maison Natale Charles De Gaulle

Students from the History master's History and Cultural Valorization International (HVCI) and History, Media and Mediations (H2M) courses, as part of the Analysis and Valorization of Heritage module, traveled to Lille on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Discovering tangible and intangible heritage

They were enthusiastically received by the cultural mediation team of Thomas Deschamps from the Maison Charles de Gaulle during the morning.
They worked on the relationship between memory and heritage, as well as on the redeployment strategies of the recently renovated Maison Charles de Gaulle.
In the afternoon, our students were welcomed with great kindness and professionalism by the Head of Conservation and Mediation, Madame Raymond, and by the Administrator of the Hospice Comtesse, Lille's city museum.
We talked about cultural policies and their impact on the city's heritage. We discussed the city of Lille's cultural and heritage policies, as well as the Museum's development and mediation projects.

.

We were able to discuss a variety of heritages, both tangible and intangible, directly with professionals and in the field. A truly rich day!
