IAE Valenciennes and the IBSEN network

The IBSEN network (The International Business Studies Exchange Network) is an important pillar in the internationalization strategy of its member universities.
They come from 10 different universities: Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (Germany), University of Cagliari (Italy), University of Valenciennes (France), Izmir University of Economics (Turkey), Asper School of Business (Canada), Indian River State Florida (USA), Prague University of Life Sciences (Czech Republic), Hallym University (South Korea), The Hague University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands) and, of course, XAMK - University of Applied Sciences of South-East Finland, which hosted us.

The meeting lasted two and a half days.
It began with an update on the latest events and projects at the various universities.
Next, participants worked on setting up in-depth cooperation between partners. Next, participants worked on setting up in-depth cooperation between partners: a summer school for Ibsen students at The Hague University in July 2024, an "Ibsen" module on entrepreneurship offered online to students in autumn 2024, etc.
Participants also talked about Artificial Intelligence. They compared the policies and projects of different universities regarding the possible use of artificial intelligence.
Contrasting uses emerged, but a common desire to train students in the relevant use of AI.

The meeting was also an opportunity to visit Xamk University as a whole, to take part in an event to promote Finnish start-ups organized by XAMK University, and to meet our IAE student who has spent a busy year there.
