Violence at the heart of the law

As part of Criminal Law Week, initiated by the French Criminal Law Association (AFDP), the Law department of the Institut Sociétés et Humanités is organizing a projection-debate around the documentary "Je vais te tuer", directed by Karine Dusfour (Morgane Production).

This documentary film sheds light on the reality of domestic violence, its mechanisms, its repercussions on victims, and the responses provided by legal and social institutions.

The screening will be followed by a exchange time bringing together academics, representatives of the Valenciennes Bar, judicial court magistrates, as well as actors from the associative and institutional world, notably involved in victim support and reintegration schemes.

This discussion will provide an opportunity to cross viewpoints and question the place of criminal law in the face of such violence.
