Polytechnic and opening modules
A plus for our students' training
UPHF offers its students and future students training modules included in their university curriculum. These modules enable them to have unique and original career paths.
There are 2 types of modules:
- polytechnic modules (MP) which offer cross-fertilization between disciplines (an opening up to disciplines not necessarily directly related to the student's training) and work between students from different backgrounds,
- opening modules (MO), which address cultural, artistic or sporting activities and the development of personal skills (soft-skills) or the acquisition of complementary certifications.
This module offering is a unique model and has been carried by our university since 2019.
A model for continuous improvement
The university looked back on the 5 years of these modules' existence and led a day-long seminar and reflection on the "Modules of tomorrow."
After a review, 3 strands were developed and worked on:
- part 1: schedule and operation (face-to-face/ distance learning)
- volet 2 : : teaching methods, assessment and management of student mix (level, prerequisites, audience...)
- component 3: communication (events, media, means...) and platforms (pedagogical, registration...)
A joint effort bringing together students, teachers, administrative staff and heralding an evolving module offering to meet the expectations and skills enrichment of student learners.
MO/MP in figures
> 46 polytechnic modules
