Pi Day at CERAMATHS - DMATHS
As part of Mathematics Week, the CERAMATHS mathematics department is organizing a full day of mathematics for students and the general public on March 14
.Mathematics Week takes place every year around the "day of pi", March 14 (3.14 in Anglo-Saxon notation).
This year it will be from March 13 to 20, 2024 on the theme "Mathematics: the important thing is to participate!"
On this occasion, the CERAMATHS Mathematics Department is organizing a mathematics day.

Playing with numbers, as in the Middle Ages, by François Goichot
Rithmomachia, or number combat, is a game invented in the 11th century, for the leisure of scholars but also to help learn arithmetic. Very complex at the time - more so than chess - the rules evolved until the 16th century. We will present a version adapted to today's middle school students.
Reception from 9am, lecture from 9:30am, duration 1h30, amphi 200E, Abel de Pujol 1 building. Public: middle and high school students.

MATh.en.JEANS invites itself to the university!
From 1:30pm to 4pm, students from the MATh.en.JEANS workshops supervised by a DMATHS researcher will present the state of their research
Six schools are working with researchers from CERAMATHS - DMATHS as part of MATh.en.JEANS, this year 2023/2024

The students and their teachers will be at INSA this Thursday afternoon, March 14, to present their research carried out this year for MATh.en.JEANS. The venue will be the same as in the morning.
