Excellent training at the heart of international exchanges
The Master's degree in Management and International Business trains professionals capable of developing organizations internationally.
Mastering the challenges of global trade
UPHF's master Management et Commerce International program prepares students to become executives capable of supporting organizations in their international development, whether private companies or public institutions.
Within ISH, it represents a natural continuation of studies for Applied Foreign Languages degree students, offering continuity in the language courses, English/German and English/Spanish. But the course is also open to economics or management bachelor's degrees, international business, with a solid grounding in the modern languages on offer.
The course is structured around two axes:
- Trilingual negotiation, through the use of two languages in a professional context, and particularly in negotiations with foreign business partners.
- Knowledge of the cultural differences, economic and social contexts of different markets (English, Spanish and German-speaking), as well as the characteristics of organizations in different countries, enables students to master the full intercultural dimension in a negotiation.
Daniel Gregorio et Christine SebaaouiIt's not just a question of speaking a foreign language, but of knowing the working methods, legal contexts and cultural patterns, such as the relationship to hierarchy, of different business partners.
International trade: mastering international trade techniques
International operations, from import/export to setting up subsidiaries or distribution networks abroad, require a mastery of international trade techniques, including customs and logistics, but also a strategic vision of the functioning and development of an international organization, in the legal, financial, HR, marketing, IT fields...
Part of the courses are taught by external speakers from the business world, who share their professional experience through concrete case studies. In fact, one of our graduates from 6 years ago, a buyer in the agri-food sector, is now involved in our course.
.Professionalization is also achieved through internships, in France or abroad, in M1 and M2, lasting up to 6 months. The MCI master's program was the first at ISH to include a sandwich course. Over the past 5 years, some forty students have signed apprenticeship contracts.
.Whether it's for internships, work-study programs or job opportunities for young graduates, the region offers opportunities, thanks to its geographical location, which means that many companies are internationally oriented.
Young graduates will be able to join companies or organizations in positions such as export manager, export zone manager, purchasing manager, international buyer, international business developer, trilingual negotiator, export project manager, Ecommerce development manager...
