A retelling of a classic tale!

The Institut Sociétés et Humanités presents an exceptional exhibition, organized in partnership with the cultural service of the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France and the Salon de la Bande Dessinée de Valenciennes.

From October 20 to November 15, l'Aparté, an exhibition space located on the Les Tertiales site, will host the works of French mangakas Anne and Minh. Anne and Minh form a duo of authors passionate about Japanese culture and the art of manga.

Their graphic universe, at the crossroads of Asian and European influences, explores themes such as identity, youth and the quest for self. Their expressive lines, sense of rhythm and sensitive storytelling have earned them recognition in the independent manga world.
The exhibition presents a selection of original plates from two of their flagship works: Le Petit Chaperon Rouge, and its counterpart reserved for an informed audience The Fucking Petit Chaperon Rouge of The Dead, a bold and gritty retelling of the classic tale, between black humor and social criticism.

Through these plates, visitors are invited to plunge into the richness of their graphic and narrative universe, between emotion, energy and overflowing imagination.
