Homogenization of heterogeneous piezoelectric structures

In this talk, we focus on modeling heterogeneous piezoelectric materials using homogenization techniques. Two configurations are studied.
First, we study a piezoelectric composite featuring periodically arranged perforations. We present the corresponding homogenized model, the expressions of the effective tensors and their main properties when the period tends to zero.
In a second step, we examine the properties of the piezoelectric composite. In a second step, we examine a thin piezoelectric plate also periodically perforated. We derive the resulting membrane and bending limit models when the plate thickness and perforation period tend to zero.
