The CÉRAMATHS mathematics department seminar will welcome Nicolas Beuvin (LAMFA, Amiens) at 2pm on Thursday, March 12, 2026, for the following talk:

Results for classifying solutions of the semi-linear Poisson equation in unbounded domains

In this seminar, I will focus on positive solutions of the following equation:

-∆u = f (u) in Ω,

where f is a function of class C1 and Ω is an unbounded domain and where we have imposed homogeneous Dirichlet conditions on the edge.
The idea is to classify such solutions according to their geometric properties (one-dimensional, null...). The talk will be divided into two parts, a first introductory part where I will present existing results in this framework, and a second part where I will state new results that we have highlighted in collaboration with A. Farina and B. Sciunzi.
