Shining the light to terahertz spectroscopy of nL-volume biological samples

Sergey I. Mitryukovskiy, Melanie Lavancier, Flavie Braud, Goedele Roos, Theo Hannotte, Emmanuel Dubois, Jean-Francois Lampin, Romain Peretti

We present a technique allowing the confinement of a broadband terahertz pulse to a few-nL volume. The method is approved in terahertz time-domain spectroscopy study of biological samples and further perspectives are discussed.

Room-Temperature Electron Transport in Self-Assembled Sheets of PbSe Nanocrystals with a Honeycomb Nanogeometry

Maryam Alimoradi Jazi, Aditya Kulkarni, Sophia Buhbut Sinai, Joep Peters, Eva Geschiere, Michele Failla, Christophe Delerue, Arjan Houtepen, Laurens Siebbeles, Daniel Vanmaekelbergh

ABSTRACT: It has been shown recently that atomically coherent superstructures of a nanocrystal monolayer in thickness can be prepared by self-assembly of monodisperse PbSe nanocrystals, followed by oriented attachment. Superstructures with a honeycomb nanogeometry are of special interest, as theory…

Textile split ring resonator antenna integrated by embroidery

Jianping Hao, A. Leblanc, Ludovic Burgnies, Amine-Rami Djouadi, Cédric Cochrane, François Rault, Vladan Koncar, Eric Lheurette

A split ring resonator (SRR) antenna integrated in textile by embroidery is reported. The antenna was designed and produced by targeting two goals. First, a size reduction of the antenna was achieved by means of an SRR. Secondly, the connection loss was reduced by using a copper wire dipole fixed…
