A broadband 4-18 GHz active quadrature hybrid

Paul Sangare, Christophe Loyez, Kevin Carpentier, Markus Mayer, Dirk Hartung, Francois Parickmiler, Nathalie Rolland

This paper presents an innovative topology of a broadband active quadrature hybrid. This novel architecture consists of a traveling wave amplifier with a unique coupling mechanism, providing amplitude flatness and low phase imbalance over the 4 - 18 GHz frequency band. Experimental results validate…

A fully flexible circuit implementation of clique-based neural networks in 65-nm CMOS

Benoit Larras, Paul Chollet, Cyril Lahuec, Fabrice Seguin, Matthieu Arzel

Clique-based neural networks implement low- complexity functions working with a reduced connectivity be- tween neurons. Thus, they address very specific applications operating with a very low energy budget. This paper proposes a flexible and iterative neural architecture able to implement multiple…

Indoor 100 Gbit/s THz data link in the 300 GHz band using fast photodiodes

Vinay Kumar Chinni, Malek Zegaoui, Christophe Coinon, X. Wallart, Emilien Peytavit, Jean-Francois Lampin, P. Szriftgiser, Mohammed Zaknoune, Guillaume Ducournau

This paper presents recent achievements towards 100 Gbit/s data links for future 300 GHz communication systems with the new IEEE 802.15.3d standard. Resonant photodiodes structures, and their application for QAM-16 data links in the THz range are shown in indoor scenario.

Voltage controlled sub-THz detection with gated planar asymmetric nanochannels

H. Sanchez-Martin, J. Mateos, J. A. Novoa, J. A. Delgado-Notario, Y. M. Meziani, S. Perez, H. Theveneau, Guillaume Ducournau, Christophe Gaquière, T. Gonzalez, I. Iniguez-De-La-Torre

This letter reports on room temperature sub-THz detection using self-switching diodes based on an AlGaN/GaN heterostructure on a Si substrate. By means of free-space measurements at 300 GHz, we demonstrate that the responsivity and noise equivalent power (NEP) of sub-THz detectors based on planar…
