LARSH partnership meetings
May 04, 2026
Aware of the fruitfulness of poly-inter-trans-disciplinary approaches and cross-fertilization between various universes (academic, political, socio-economic, cultural, ...) to think about territorial complexity, LARSH opens its doors to meet public and private players in order to weave protean partnerships (setting up research projects, co-directing PhD theses, organizing scientific events: conferences, study days, ...). Leveraging a dual logic of "thinking through the medium " in the sense of philosopher Vinciane Despret, on the one hand, and, that of "cogitamus" in the sense of sociologist Bruno Latour, on the other, Le LARSH is organizing a meeting on May 4 with a representative panel of local partners (local authorities, companies, architecture studios, law firms, cultural structures, ...).
🎯 The aim being to collectively reflect on the place of SHS in the harmonious codesign and co-construction of the territory.
Dialogue, listening to each other's needs, creativity, ... will be the watchwords of this meeting, which promises to be a promising one!
Review of the 05/04 meeting
As part of a double commensality (both "nutritional" and "intellectual"), roborative to both guts and brains, the Larsh's first meeting with the region's public and private partners was held 🤝
- A laboratory and its 3 departments;
- More than 10 public and private partners ;
- A doctoral students' association (thanks toCeDoc² LARSH - Cercle des Doctorants et des Docteurs du LARSHfor its presence!)
- A desire: to make the territory a living resource for thinking about various aspects of daily life (health, law, architecture and inhabitant participation, artistic creation, cultural mediation, ...).
Indeed, in a purely dialogical logic, based mainly on active listening to each other's needs, reflections and proposals were expressed over 3 hours on the "how" of setting up fruitful partnerships between Larsh researchers and their territorial partners. Undeniably, the contributions of the battery of SHS disciplines are the sine qua non of humanizing territories!
"A journey of a thousand miles always begins with a first step", goes the old adage. Yesterday's meeting marked the beginning of some fine strides. All that remains now is to build on this momentum. One thing's for sure: the Larsh will tirelessly pursue its efforts in this area, so that the fine ideas sparked off yesterday can be epiphanized and corporatized.
