TRAMM: Translation of Musical Works
The TRAMM project aims to study the translation of musical works using a multimodal approach that integrates all the constituent dimensions of these works: text, voice, music, and sound engineering. This perspective aims to move beyond an analysis focused exclusively on linguistic issues in order to examine the interactions between the various modalities involved in the creation, performance, and reception of translated musical works.

Interdisciplinary Approach
Resolutely interdisciplinary, the project lies at the intersection of translation studies, musicology, and linguistics. Structured around linguistic, cultural, and musicological themes, it aims to analyze the diversity of translation practices in various linguistic and cultural contexts.
Future Goals
The results will serve as a foundation for submitting an ANR project aimed at extending multimodality to a wider range of languages, cultural regions, and musical genres.
