BERTRAND GOUJON
Professor of Contemporary History

A former student at the École Normale Supérieure de Fontenay/Saint-Cloud and agrégé in history, Bertrand Goujon is Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (CERHiC, UR-2616). His work focuses on the social and cultural history of Europe in the long 19th century, with a particular emphasis on the history of the elites. His publications include Monarchies postrévolutionnaires, 1814-1848 (Le Seuil, 2012), Les Arenberg. Le gotha à l'heure des nations, 1820-1919 (PUF, 2017), Du Sang bleu dans les tranchées. Military experiences of French nobles in the Great War (Vendémiaire, 2015) and "Je maintiendrai". Femmes, nobles et Françaises, 1914-1919 (Vendémiaire, 2022).
