Study day "Vulnerability through a gender lens: Women's care, particularities and (in)adaptations".

When viewed from a gender perspective, vulnerability highlights structural dynamics of inequality that particularly affect women in care systems. Institutional responses are often based on androcentric models that fail to take into account the specificities of gendered trajectories. This (in)adaptation of systems can result in a double penalty: increased exposure to risks and reduced accessibility or effectiveness of the support offered. From this perspective, the aim is to document the specific forms of female vulnerability and to question the capacity of institutions to integrate a critical reading of gender into their modes of action. In other words, how can we design inclusive schemes that are sensitive to gender relations and adapted to the diversity of women's trajectories?
