Call for papers

Colloquium "Marastres 2. Families, places and heritages"

Valenciennes, November 21 and 22, 2024

Submission methods

Paper proposals (approx. 3500 signs) must, in addition to a title, specify the approach, methodology and sources mobilized and/or the field of investigation. They may fit into one or more of the three proposed axes.

They can take the form of an argumented reflection on a general or specific aspect, a case study, the presentation and discussion of a work or the commentary of a document. If they feel it is relevant, participants in the first meeting are invited to return to the case they discussed, focusing on aspects specific to the second symposium's call for papers, in order to encourage in-depth reflection on a few well-documented or particularly rich cases.

They must be accompanied by a short academic biography of the author, and may be written in French or English.

The committee will value the work of young researchers and unpublished research, as well as the exploration of new terrains or archives, in order to encourage discussion of ongoing research. Papers will last 20 minutes, with plenty of time for discussion.

Proposals should be sent jointly before February 05, 2024 to:

They will then be examined by the scientific committee and a response will be given to participants at the end of February 2024.
