My research in geography focuses on the relationship between society and nature. It addresses the power relations that characterize the relationship between various social groups and nature, as well as socio-environmental conflict. My work has mainly explored these issues in relation to two topics: water and urban natures.
Methodologically, I develop mixed methods (social science surveys, archival research, building corpora, content analysis, and textual data analysis).
At UPHF and LARSH, my research is part of the CPER ECRIN project on environmental change in the Hauts-de-France region. In this context, I am conducting a survey addressed to land-use planning stakeholders on public perceptions of sprawl containement and land use changes and narratives on “no net land take”.
