CEDOC² LARSH Association

The CeDoc² Larsh: a space for doctoral students to exchange ideas

Founded in 2025 by doctoral students from the LARSH Laboratory (Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France), CeDoc² Larsh is an association dedicated to creating links between doctoral students and promoting their work in the humanities.

Its mission

The association was born out of an observation: PhD students are often isolated, immersed in their research subjects without always having the opportunity to share their experiences or learn from each other. CeDoc² Larsh aims to break this solitude by providing a solid network and visibility for the research conducted within the laboratory.

His flagship projects

1. CEDOC DIC :
A collaborative dictionary where each PhD student defines 10 keywords related to their research. Scheduled for publication by the end of the year, the aim of this project is to clarify and share the issues involved in work in progress.

2. Video portraits:
3-minute videos in which each PhD student presents his or her research project. Broadcast on a dedicated YouTube channel, these videos are aimed at both academics and the general public, with a desire to demystify research.

"We want to show that research is accessible, that it can inspire and even transform a passion into a scientific project."
- Soilio Coulibaly, president of the association and visual artist.

Opening up to other laboratories

The CeDoc² Larsh is not limited to its home laboratory. The association aims to open up to other structures by co-organizing seminars, colloquia or workshops with partner laboratories.

"The idea is to create synergies, exchange our methods and results, and why not, build joint projects."
- Soilio Coulibaly

This openness enriches PhD students' perspectives and strengthens links between disciplines, integrating the human sciences into multidisciplinary dynamics.

A call to commitment

The board, comprising three members and their pairs (president, general secretary, communications manager and their deputies), encourages every PhD student to get actively involved:

.

"It's their association, they have to keep it going!"
- Soilio Coulibaly

PhD students are invited to:

  • Propose ideas,
  • Organize events,
  • Participate in regular meetings.

"The thesis is not done alone. By discussing with others, even outside your field, you gain clarity and motivation."
