Solving the 0-1 Multidimensional Knapsack Problem with Resolution Search

Sylvain Boussier, Michel Vasquez, Yannick Vimont, Said Hanafi, Philippe Michelon

We propose an exact method which combines the resolution search and branch & bound algorithms for solving the 0–1 Multidimensional Knapsack Problem. This algorithm is able to prove large–scale strong correlated instances. The optimal values of the 10 constraint, 500 variable instances of the OR...

De tels projets impliquent la participation d'..., This thesis concerns development projects of complex interactive systems and particularly the collaboration between project partners. In complex work situation (where safety issues, risk of organisational changes are important), interactive system design or re-engineering projects involve the...

Wireless and Wired Ethernet for Intelligent Transportation Systems, Ethernet câblé et sans-fil pour les systèmes de transport intelligents

Ramez Daoud

This study focuses on the wireless as well as the wired aspect of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The On-Board network of a future smart vehicle is designed using Switched Ethernet as a backbone. This architecture aims at minimizing the amount of wiring present in today’s cars.

Arnaud Brossard

Cette méthode, appelée PERCOMOM (PERsonalization and COnceptual MOdeling Method), vise à permettre la création d'applications..., This thesis proposes a first version of a modelling method for personalized interactive applications through a model driven approach. This method, called PERCOMOM (PERsonalization and COnceptual MOdeling Method), aims to allow the creation of interactive applications of WIMP type (Windows, Icons,...

Contribution des «scénarios patterns» et du raisonnement à partir de cas à la modélisation conceptuelle des applications logicielles, Contribution of "scenarios patterns" and case based reasoning (CBR) to the design modeling of software applications

Bilal Hussein

L’objectif est d’optimiser la tâche amont..., Located in the field of requirement engineering, the thesis concerns the contribution of the concept of "scenario pattern" and Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) in order to construct automatically a design model for complex software applications. The objective is to optimize the task ahead of...

An iterative variable-based fixation heuristic for the 0-1 multidimensional knapsack problem

Christophe Wilbaut, Saïd Salhi, Saïd Hanafi

An iterative scheme which is based on a dynamic fixation of the variables is developed to solve the 0-1 multidimensional knapsack problem. Such a scheme has the advantage of generating memory information, which is used on the one hand to choose the variables to fix either permanently or temporarily...

Application à la détection de fumées nocives sur site industriel, On the usability of diversity when training multiple classifier systems. Application to the detection of hazardous smokes on industrial facilities.

David Gacquer

Une manière particulière de construire un ensemble de classifieurs consiste à sélectionner..., Discussions about the influence of diversity when designing Multiple Classifier Systems has been an active topic in Machine Learning overs recent years. A behavioral multi-agent model for road traffic simulation

Arnaud Doniec, René Mandiau, Sylvain Piechowiak, Stéphane Espié

Multi-agent systems allow the simulation of complex phenomena that cannot easily be described analytically. Multi-agent approaches are often based on coordinating agents whose actions and interactions are related to the emergence of the phenomenon to be simulated. In this article, we focus on road...

An alternative to inverse dynamics joint torques estimation in human stance based on a Takagi-Sugeno unknown inputs observer in the descriptor form

Kevin Guelton, Sebastien Delprat, Thierry-Marie Guerra

An alternative to inverse dynamics joint torques estimation in human stance is proposed. This alternative is based on unknown-input observers which allow real-time estimation of joint torques and angular velocities from measurements of the angular positions. To design the aforementioned observer, a...
