My introduction to research began in 1988 with the preparation of my Diploma of Advanced Studies. My research topic was around the flow investigation of pulp to study the flocculation and the turbulence for a non newtonian two-phase solid/liquid fluid. In 1989, I started the preparation of my Ph.D. thesis on the Two-phase gas-liquid flows in singularities. During my career, I have addressed several research topics, e.g. instabilities encountered in Couette-Taylor systems, turbulent imping jets, unsteady flows and mass transfer around obstacles to study experimentally and numerically coherent structures, development of Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) for numerical simulations in unsteady fluid flows and mass transfers, heat transfer in porous media for Stirling engines, transfer to interface, gas-liquid foam flow using experimental and numerical investigation tools, heat transfer at interfaces, heat exchangers and energy optimization in Stirling engines, Process engineering, biofuel process production from waste fish and finally CO2 capture.
I developed new approaches based on model experiments, required for the understanding of wall mass transfer phenomena, and the data post-processing for turbulent coherent structures. This work has served as a reference for the whole of the unsteady and turbulent topic community. Furthermore, I have acquired during my career specific experience on issues related to the industry. 
Since 2008, I serve as Associate Editor of the “Journal of Applied Fluid Mechanics” (IF: 1.09, accepted recently by Elsevier), and since 2013 I serve as Associate Editor of the “International Journal of Energy Research” (IF: 3.343, Wiley). Nevertheless, I continue my research activities in the field of gas-liquid two-phase flow (foam flows) and energetic investigations on the Stirling thermal machines (receipt and drive machines). More recently, I have also been interested in developing a research project on CO2 capture in collaboration with several researchers from the SRM Institute of Science and Technology from India and the Tsinghua University at Beijing (China).
