Dynamic model for assessing impact of regeneration actions on system availability: application to weapon systems

Maxime Monnin, Benoît Iung, Olivier Sénéchal, Pascal Lelan

Availability is a determining factor in systems characterization. Because military systems must act in a hostile environment, they are particularly vulnerable in situations of unavailability. Military weapon systems can become unavailable due to system failures or damage to the system; in both…

Contribution à la caractérisation d'alliages métalliques à faible ductilité après re-fusion et solidification in situ, Contribution to the characterization of metal alloys with low ductility after re-melting and solidification in situ

L’…, In the field of metallic alloys melting processing, the use of new technologies aiming at improving productivity generally increases structural defects occurrences, which are often related to the cooling from liquid state. Identification and prediction of those defects, mainly internal or…

A 3D analysis of fore and hindlimb motion during locomotion: comparison of overground and ladder walking in rats

Cyril Garnier, Maurice Falempin, Marie-Hélène Canu

The locomotor pattern, generated by the central pattern generator, is under the dependence of descending and peripheral pathways. The afferent feedback from peripheral receptors allows the animal to correct for disturbances that occur during walking, while supraspinal structures are important for…

Contribution à la validation des méthodes numériques pour les problèmes dynamiques couplés fluide-structure, Contribution to the validation of numerical methods for hydrodynamic impact

Grégory Haboussa

Ce travail vise à améliorer la capacité de prédiction des comportements dynamiques transitoires des solides et des structures lors de sollicitations de type crash, spécifiquement lorsqu’un milieu fluide doit être pris en compte. La première étape a consisté à mesurer une observable expérimentale,…, Numerous numerical methods exist that can be used to solve fluid/structure interactions during hydrodynamic impacts on deformable structures. The purpose of the present work is to define a methodology which allows validating these numerical methods. The first stage of this work is to establish…

Prevision of evaluation by traces during the software design of interactive systems: two approaches compared

Jean-Claude Tarby, Houcine Ezzedine, Christophe Kolski

Interactive system evaluation is currently the subject of numerous research projects. Some are intended to link design and evaluation explicitly by different software mechanisms. In this chapter, we describe two evaluation approaches based on the concept of traces, taking advantage of new…
