Bachelor of Science and Technology in Audiovisual and Digital Media
This bachelor's degree combines general and professional training (numerous professional facilities available). It provides the scientific and technical foundations, as well as the knowledge of general culture and the humanities, required for a career in the image or sound industry.
Admission requirements
In the first year:To enter the Licence in the first year, it is recommended to hold a baccalauréat with Mathematics and/or Physics-Chemistry and/or Engineering Science teachings (equivalent to the old S [scientific] baccalauréat system). The Digital and Computer Science or artistic options such as cinema-audiovisual or theater are strongly recommended.
In the third year: Admissions to the third-year Licence are possible by validation of prior learning for students coming from other courses. Ideally after a BTS Audiovisuel or a DUT MMI (Métiers du Multimédia et de l'Internet).
Registration (enrolment: 48 students per year)
In the first year: application is made on the national Parcoursup platform. A pre-selection on file and a motivation interview is organized during May, between the vow confirmation phase and the vow response phase.
In third year: application is made on the national eCandidat platform. A pre-selection process based on application files and a motivational interview is organized in June.
In the third year: applications are made via the national eCandidat platform.
Objectives
The bachelor's degree provides general training in the audiovisual and multimedia sector. The curriculum integrates not only scientific (mathematics, optics, acoustics, etc.), technical (IT, networks, systems analysis, analog and digital electronics, etc.), technological (video and sound equipment, web, DTP, etc.) and human science (psychophysiology of perception, image semiology, modern languages, etc.) aspects, but also artistic modules prepared outside the institute (Conservatory of Music, etc.). The main aim of this Bachelor's degree is to prepare students for access to the Master's degree in Audiovisual, Digital Interactive Media, Games (all courses combined).
.Careers
At the end of the 2nd year, students have the choice of moving on to a Licence professionnelle for an exit into working life at Bac +3 or competitive entrance exams such as ENS Louis Lumière, or continuing into the 3rd year to prepare for entry into a Master's degree with a view to specialization (3 specialties at Valenciennes: Productions, Postproduction and Image and Sound Systems Engineering). It also provides access to the Audiovisual and Multimedia engineering cycle specialization at INSA Hauts-de-France.
It enables you to consider the following professions: assistant editor, editor, video technician, sound technician, video assistant, sound assistant, camera operator.
