Master's degree in audiovisual production

This master's degree trains students for executive positions in audiovisual production for both traditional and new media. Through project-based teaching (carrying out different types of production), students learn to master the image and sound production chain from project conception to broadcast.

Admission requirements

In the first year: hold a Bac +3 (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) or have validated 180 ECTS credits in the secondary sector related to communication, audiovisual (artistic or technical aspect) or management techniques (law, marketing, sales).

Introductory modules enable students to brush up on their skills, depending on their previous course of study. The Master's degree is also available through continuing education.

In the second year: hold a Bac +4 (Maîtrise or equivalent) or have validated 240 ECTS credits that guarantee good knowledge and real skills, of a scientific, technical or artistic nature, in a sector linked to communication, audiovisual (artistic or technical aspect) or management techniques (law, marketing, sales).

The Master's degree is also available through continuing education.

Registration (enrolment: 24 students per year)

In the first year: Application is made on the national Mon-Master platform. A pre-selection based on application files and a motivational interview are organized in May or June.

Objectives

Students who have completed the Productions course (ex. MCAV), in the Audiovisual, Digital Interactive Media, Games Master's program, can intervene at all levels of image and sound production, and ensure, for example, the administrative, legal and financial set-up and follow-up of a project by leading meetings and supervising the management of the necessary material, human and financial resources. His or her mastery of the various stages of production enables him or her to develop effective responses to any problems encountered. A professional who masters all technical, conceptual and human parameters, he/she leads largely multidisciplinary and international work groups.

Integration in the first year provides a comprehensive training in audiovisual and management techniques. Inclusion in the second year is possible in order to obtain a double skill set to complement previous training.
