The associations

For almost 40 years, DREAM has had its own student association, Trois Quarts de Pouce. It also has an alumni association that brings together former graduates from all courses, AV-VAL.

Three Quarters of an Inch

¾ de Pouce is the Valenciennes Audiovisual and Multimedia student association. Based on the Mont Houy campus, it aims to be a player in student and Valenciennes cultural life.

Students in the Audiovisual and Multimedia department, DREAM, have a strong identity and come from all over France (and the world). They were selected from among many applicants.

The association wants to make this identity shine. It wants to integrate new students, those arriving in the North for the first time or those living on their own for the first time, as fully as possible.

The association wants to make this identity shine.

The aim of the association is to unite students around audiovisual projects and to enliven their student life. Trois Quarts de Pouce is also keen to create and perpetuate flagship events such as the "3/4 de cinéma" short film competition, which has been running since 2011, but also new ones, open to all, such as the Tremplins Musicaux de l'Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France.

All DREAM students are gifted with diverse and complementary skills, and the association seeks to bring them together around this. So don't hesitate to call on them, whether you're a student or not!

AV-VAL - Alumni

The AV-VAL is the association of former students graduating from the Audiovisual and Multimedia stream. Coming from the various Valenciennes training courses (DREAM and its former denominations), the very wide range of experience, profiles, professions and skills of these members is a considerable asset.

Members are creatives or executives from the production, post-production or broadcasting sectors, Journalistes Reporter d'Images, trick experts, Information Systems engineers, but above all experts in business processes. Television, trans-media, cinema and advertising are their preferred fields. They can be found at the heart of major media groups, or as freelancers on top-notch productions.

The association offers regular get-togethers, as well as evenings for alumni to get together "convivially" over a drink. It enables students and alumni alike to benefit from the experience of experts, applied to specific issues. The association also welcomes new graduates on their arrival in the Paris region.

Alumni associations represent the "skills pools" from which recruiters will draw their resources.

The AV-VAL thus offers the opportunity to greatly improve one's chances for any insertion, reinsertion or career development.
