Active product control system and cooperating autonomous entities for industrial warehouse risk management.
The aim of the I2RM project was to guarantee a high level of risk control under the operating conditions of an industrial facility by anticipating, preventing, avoiding and warning of any critical situation that could affect products and people.
The aim of the I2RM project was to guarantee a high level of risk control under the operating conditions of an industrial facility by anticipating, preventing, avoiding and warning of any critical situation that could affect products and people, which could manifest itself in any abnormal situation on the positioning, movement and storage of products with associated potential risks (e.g.: product, crate, pallet, container..), as well as their interactions with other assets, other resources (forklift, AGV, AMR...) and human operators.
In this framework, every critical and relevant physical product and autonomous entity is continuously monitored according to its specifications and critical characteristics, in order to check that a product is:
- in the right place in the industrial warehouse,
- stored/functioning under acceptable ambient conditions according to its characteristics,
- in place for a limited, controlled period of time,
- in the vicinity of other compliant/compatible products, interacting with authorized operators,
- handled/transported safely by cooperating autonomous entities.
