Plateau Mobilité autonome

Autonomous Mobility

The "Autonomous Mobility" technology platform is a support for research in the field of transport and mobility, particularly in the context of developments related to autonomous vehicles.

General presentation

This platform enables us to meet the experimental needs of research which mainly concerns:

  • The design, prototyping and evaluation of advanced driving and mobility assistance systems;
  • The study and modeling of human behavior.

Various state-of-the-art, full-scale platforms are thus operated within the plateau:

  • SHERPA: dynamic driving simulator;
  • PRIVAC-DS7: cooperating automated vehicle demonstrator;
  • PSCHITT: dynamic simulator with modular architecture offering different transport modalities :

These platforms can be used independently or coupled together, including:

  • Possibility of "cosimulation" between the SHERPA platform and the PSCHITT-Rail or PSCHITT-PMR platform, to jointly study several transport modalities or the interaction between different modes;
  • Portage of developments carried out in simulation within the SHERPA platform to the PRIVAC-DS7 platform for on-track testing.

Financing

The platform is part of the Contrat de Plan État-Région (CPER) RITMEA, co-financed by the Union Européenne with the Fonds Européen de Développement Régional (FEDER), by the État and by the Région Hauts-de-France. They fit into RITMEA's regional platforms: AV-Lab (for SHERPA, PRIVAC and PSCHITT-Rail) and PMR-Lab (for PSCHITT-PMR).
