Reliance-Aware Design methodology for Interactive explanations in XAI Systems
.This project proposes a human-centered design methodology aimed at providing professionals with conceptual and practical tools enabling them to anticipate dependency problems right from the design phase, drawing on semiotic engineering.
Our aim is to examine the candidate designs derived from the proposed approach in order to evaluate the level of trust in the context of a decision support system for human resources (HR) recruitment.
Research question: does the Explainable User Interface (XUI) generated using RADIX better promote an appropriate level of trust compared to the XUI generated using an ad hoc approach?
The XUIs used in this study were developed to facilitate HR recruitment based on the BIOS dataset: https://github.com/microsoft/biosbias.
