These days, the ubiquity of mobile systems is only increasing, and they're becoming indispensable for many of us. Manufacturers of these mobile platforms are flooding the market with ever more powerful products containing a large number of power-hungry applications.
The downside of this popularitý is power consumption. Indeed, the characteristics of today's mobile systems only accentuate the need for an overhaul of power consumption optimization techniques.
Using the data emanating from the various on-board sensors and the operating system can be beneficial for implementing efficient power management policies. If properly exploited, the large flow of information available can be used to characterize user behavior, habits and hardware configuration needs. By assimilating this information and processing it, we have proposed power optimizations without altering user satisfaction.
ENOrMOUS delivers energy savings of around 38%, compared with the management proposed by the operating system. This energy saving is achievable, while respecting user satisfaction.
