IRP-ROI-TML
International Research Project (IRP-ROI-TML) "Operations Research and Informatics in Transport, Mobility and Logistics.
An International Research Project (IRP-ROI-TML) was approved in January 2021 for a duration of five years, between the LAMIH UMR 8201 and the CIRRELT on the theme : "Operational Research and Informatics in Transport, Mobility and Logistics".
An International Research Project (IRP-ROI-TML) was approved in January 2021 for a five-year period, between the LAMIH UMR 8201 and the CIRRELT (Interuniversity Research Centre for Enterprise Networks, Logistics and Transportation, Canada) on the theme : "Operational Research and Informatics in Transport, Mobility and Logistics". Based on a collaboration of over 20 years between the CIRRELT and the LAMIH UMR CNRS 8201, the IRP ROI-TML follows on from the " Laboratoire International Associé Recherche Opérationnelle et Informatique en Transport, Mobilité et Logistique " (LIA ROI-TML) between the CIRRELT and the LAMIH UMR CNRS 8201.
The main research themes of the IRP ROI-TML fall into three main areas :
- Models and hybrid approaches in operations research;
- Optimization, performance and resilience of transport and enterprise networks;
- Smart Cities & Smart Vehicles.
Among the objectives of the ROI-TML IRP, we can cite in connection with these three axes:
- the design and dissemination to the scientific community and to industry of new resolution methods dedicated to optimization problems in transport, mobility and logistics, while taking into account managerial, environmental and legislative aspects, but also the security of computer communications ;
- the optimization, performance and resilience of transport and business networks ;
- the development of models, methods and tools for the design of a secure data exchange and processing platform for the development of smart/autonomous cities and vehicles.
This research is part of issues with a strong societal impact, concerning in particular :
- reducing congestion and the environmental impacts of transport activities (in terms of energy consumption, pollution) ;
- taking into account people with reduced mobility or disabilities (to improve mobility and quality of life for citizens) ;
- increasing the safety of logistics and transport networks, their operators and users ;
- better exploitation/utilization/preservation of resources, exploitation of residual capacities...
