Vehicles Tracking by Combining Convolutional Neural Network Based Segmentation and Optical Flow Estimation

Tuan-Hung Vu, Jacques Boonaert, Sebastien Ambellouis, Abdelmalik Taleb-Ahmed

Object tracking is an important proxy task towards action recognition. The recent successful CNN models for detection and segmentation, such as Faster R-CNN and Mask R-CNN lead to an effective approach for tracking problem: tracking-by-detection. This very fast type of tracker takes into account…

Tabu Search for a Parallel-Machine Scheduling Problem with Job Rejection, Inventory Penalties and Periodic Maintenance.

Hanane Krim, Nicolas Zufferey, Jean-Yves Potvin

We consider in this work a bicriteria scheduling problem on two different parallel machines with a periodic preventive maintenance policy. The two objectives considered involve minimization of job rejection costs and weighted sum of completion times. They are handled through a lexicographic…

Reduced-Complexity Affine Representation for Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Systems

Amine Dehak, Tran Anh-Tu Nguyen, Antoine Dequidt, Laurent Vermeiren, Michel Dambrine

This paper presents a systematic approach to reduce the complexity of sector nonlinearity TS fuzzy models using existing linear dependencies between local linear submodels. The proposed approach results in a decrease of the fuzzy model rules from 2P to p + 1 rules while maintaining equivalence to…
