Needs for methods and models rationalizing work of the actors of an organization implied in an innovation process: basic principles and examples

Christophe Kolski, Emmanuel Adam, Stéphanie Bernonville, René Mandiau

The processes of innovation can be considered before all as business processes; those generally relate to more or less complex organizations. It is possible to understand and improve these processes by exploiting methods and models coming from various fields. Basic principles and examples are…

Application d'une méthodologie d'aide à la décision multicritère dans le cadre du contrôle du trafic aérien, coopération sur plusieurs secteurs

David Annebicque, Igor Crevits, Serge Debernard, Benoît Guiost, Patrick Millot

A curve-fitting genetic algorithm for styling application

Marc Sevaux, Yves Mineur

The fitting of curves in computer aided geometric design is generally regarded as an optimisation problem. According to the application, conditions to be satisfied can make the problem difficult to solve with classical methods. Stochastic ones, such as genetic algorithms, therefore appear as a…

Recent Advances in Solving the Protein Threading Problem

Rumen Andonov, Guillaume Collet, Jean-François Gibrat, Antoine Marin, Vincent Poirriez, Nicola Yanev

The fold recognition methods are promissing tools for capturing the structure of a protein by its amino acid residues sequence but their use is still restricted by the needs of huge computational resources and suitable efficient algorithms as well. In the recent version of FROST (Fold Recognition…

MEGEVH project: graphical modeling for energy management of hybrid electric vehicles

Alain Bouscayrol, Sebastien Delprat, Daniel Hissel, Rochdi Trigui

The French national MEGEVH project deals with energy management of hybrid electric vehicles (HEV). The objective is to provide general methodologies to model HEV and optimize their energy flows. The project is subdivided in modeling and optimization sub-projects. Graphical modeling has been chosen…

Practical stabilization and tracking of a wheeled mobile robot with integral sliding mode controller

Michael Defoort, Jorge Palos, Thierry Floquet, Anne-Marie Kokosy, Wilfrid Perruquetti

This paper is dedicated to the robust stabilization and tracking problems for a wheeled mobile robot. After the mobile robot dynamics have been transformed into an advantageous form, a robust integral sliding mode controller is designed to promulgate a practical stabilization in spite of the…

Prévision des performances aérodynamiques d'un nouveau type d'éolienne : le rotor Vinet

Jean-Luc Menet, Nachida Bourabaa
