Emissivity assessment of sandblasted surfaces: Methodology for decoupling roughness and surface chemistry effects using Physics-guided Neural Networks

Gaudens Towanou, Marvin Nurit, Edouard Geslain, Cédric Pouvreau, Philippe Le Masson, Maxence Bigerelle, Gaëtan Le Goic

This study presents a physics-guided neural network model for predicting the spectral emissivity of sandblasted titanium surfaces. The proposed approach integrates Agababov's model with a multi-parametric description of surface roughness and accounts for chemical contamination induced by…

Covariance propagation and stabilization for tube-based stochastic MPC under parametric and additive uncertainties

Kaouther Moussa, Mirko Fiacchini

This work addresses an SMPC-oriented characterization of the error covariance dynamics for linear discrete-time systems subject to both additive and parametric stochastic uncertainties that are potentially unbounded. In contrast with the standard additive-noise case, the covariance dynamics are…

Cost-effectiveness of super-element and mean-field homogenization approaches for linear elastic multiscale problems requiring localization

Phuc Viet Khoa Nguyen, Bertrand Langrand, Franck Massa, Cédric Hubert, Nicolas Leconte

Riveted assemblies play a crucial role in the strength and failure of aeronautical structures subjected to shock and impact. Such computations necessitate accurate modeling of both the full-scale structure and the local assembly zone to evaluate the structure’s survivability. To address this type…

An ontology for the development of context and situation aware Communication support systems for People with cerebral palsy

Cependant, la conception de systèmes capables de s’adapter finement et dynamiquement à l’utilisateur requiert une base…, Communication aids play a fundamental role in the independence, social inclusion, and quality of life of people with cerebral palsy. However, designing systems capable of adapting finely and dy- namically to the user requires a rigorous conceptual foundation. Currently, there is a strong need for a…

Caractérisation de la gestion des contraintes en ingénierie de la construction : fondements pour un design d'interface écologique, Characterization of constraint management in construction engineering: foundations for ecological interface design

Cyprien Pierre, Alexis Heloir, Christophe Kolski

Actors from diverse backgrounds must navigate nu- merous regulatory, contractual, human, and environmental con- straints.
