Title
The Cold Atom: At the Heart of Quantum Technology
Abstract
At the heart of modern quantum technology, “cold atoms” (atoms trapped by lasers in a vacuum and cooled to near absolute zero) serve as the ultimate multidisciplinary bridge, connecting the fundamental laws of quantum mechanics to chemistry, mathematics, precision metrology, quantum information, algorithmic theory, and photonics. By isolating these atoms as individual qubits, researchers can directly translate complex physical realities into solvable algorithmic data. This presentation positions the qubit at the intersection of these fields.
