Projet CYQLAIR

CYQLAIR 2

Cyclone to improve air quality

(this project is the sequel to CYQLAIR)

Numerical and experimental study of cyclonic flows, application to air pollution control.

The objective is to carry out an optimization study of a dust removal equipment, a cyclonic gas-solid particle separator. A numerical study is carried out using OpenFOAM software. The main challenge is to determine a model that accurately represents the dynamics of the particles under consideration. An experimental study involving the measurement of flow velocity fields and particle granulometry will validate the numerical results. Solutions will also be proposed to improve separation efficiency.
