Integrated Intelligent Energy Converter
In the context of the 21st century Energy Transition, only the electricity vector is capable of assimilating the various sources of clean renewable energy. It carries them wherever needed, transforms polluting functionalities into clean ones, and realizes new functionalities. The Intelligent Integrated Energy Converter (CE2I) project has been selected under the 2015-2020 State-Region Plan Contract (CPER) and is part of the European Energy Transition dynamic.
.The original and unique approach of the CE2I project is based on the simultaneous involvement of several regional skills in electrical and thermal engineering. It stems from the MEDEE cluster's roadmap, which inspired the Research and Innovation Strategy - Intelligent Specialization (SRI-SI), and is fully supported by its dynamics.
The previous collaboration - CPER 2007-2013 support granted to the MEDEE cluster's industrial and research partners - convinced the Hauts-de-France Region of the need to include the High Voltage Electrical Components and Chains theme in its Research and Innovation Strategy - Intelligent Specialization 2014-2020 (SRI-SI). As a result, this decision has encouraged the launch of new collaborative R&D projects supported by regional, national and European funding (ERDF, European Regional and Economic Development Fund).
.The CE2I project will address interlocking multidisciplinary issues. The deliverable will be an energy conversion system: static converters based on large-gap components, robust, compact, integrated into a 40 kW polyphase machine in a reduced volume operating in a high temperature range, eco-efficient, structurally and functionally reliable.
