Our alumni were in Cannes!
On Saturday May 24, the Cannes Film Festival 2025 came to a close. During this two-week celebration of cinema, many former students of Valenciennes' Audiovisual training were present to work on or present one or more films.
.In competition - Feature film (Palme d'Or):
- Téo L'huillier (Master 2 Postproduction, class 2023) - digital compositor for Sergei Loznitsa's Deux Procureurs [Prix François-Chalais]
- Sylvain Chaux (Master 2 TrucIS, 2014) - 1st additional camera assistant for the film Alpha by Julia Ducournau
- Téo L'huillier (Master 2 Postproduction, class 2023), Christophe Laya (Master 2 trucIS, 2006) and Joël Pinto (Master 2 TrucIS, 2005) - VFX Artist for the film New Wave by Richard Linkater
- Guillaume Pondard (MST CAV, class of 1997) - VFX Supervisor for the film Jeunes Mères by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne [Screenplay Prize - Ecumenical Jury Prize]
- Charlotte Arzur (Master Productions, class of 2021) - VFX production coordinator for the film Sirat by Öliver Laxe [Jury Prize - Cannes Soundtrack Award - Palme Dog : Grand Prix du Jury]
